Lucky Goldfish

June 6, 2007

Here’s a new one: A combination deep fryer/goldfish bowl.

Oil and water doesn’t mix, right? So stuff cooks on the hot oil on top, and the goldfish lives in the water underneath. As long as the fish doesn’t go near the surface, everything’s cool. Plus, it gets to eat all the crusty bits that fall to the bottom.

Sounds sketchy. I wonder what the realistic life expectancy of the goldfish is.

I need to relocate. This place is a dive.

Ant Condo

June 5, 2007

Scale model of an ant farm. Styley architecture.

They pour orthodontal slurry, or in some cases molten aluminum or zinc down the nest and then dig it out. Nasty!

The living quarters looks great,
but that parking garage goes way down there

Uh-oh, Saturn. I can see Uranus!

Garden of Light Sabres

May 26, 2007

Put a bunch of flourescent blubs underneath powerlines and they light up from the excess power leakage. Makes you glad you don’t live underneath.
